In The SpotLyght Feature Magazine

By Roland E. Williams

You live with my peculiarities,

But do you like me?

You still cling to me with ease,

But do you need me?

You take care of my daily needs,

But do you care for me?

You enjoy our nightly deeds,

But do you want me?

You still shake my rusty knees,

But do you long for me?

My heart still swells like the open seas,

But do you love me?

By Roland E. Williams

I will pledge my love to you

Though you will give yours to another

I will strip my heart bare for you

Even though yours belongs to the other

I will light up your burdened soul

Though night has fallen on mine

I’ll bequeath you my eyes when I’m no more

That they may see your smile each day in your mirror

I dare shed my knowledge for you

Yet you care to know nothing of me

By Roland E. Williams

Will you be the one to drive away my sorrows?

Your soft and gentle touch says you will

Will you be the one to end my quest for love?

Your unusually talkative moods show you will

Will you be the one to ease the pain of the loves lost?

Your passionate and warm embraces whisper you will

Will you be the one to make me forget the loves missed?

Your meaningful glances imply you will

Will you be the one to calm my volcanic soul?

The ease with which we dance admits you will

Will you be the one in that new life I wait to begin?

Your caring and assuring kisses tell me you will
