In The SpotLyght Feature Magazine

By Roland E. Williams

One tender kiss might change my life

One “I do” and you are my wife

Two loving arms to embrace me

Two hearts merged for eternity

One tear shed in silent sadness

Many more from utter gladness

Two eyes adoring you so much

Yet all of you for me to touch

One life I give to you, complete

No conditions for you to meet

Two ears to listen to ev’ry wish

Having naught one cannot wish

One counts ev’ry moment we’ve had

Being together was once so sad

The other counts moments to come

For time will help us overcome

Two journeys that will end one day

A day when both will become so gay

Count on me to light up your eyes

And promise you no more good byes

By Roland E. Williams

You have put that smile on my face

The laughter we shared lingering on

Unbound in any sense by time or place

One more unknown issue undone

I have but a smile on my face

Forever remaining in place

Through some magical embrace

For sorrow it leaves no space

This constant smile on my face

I shall never care to wipe it off

I hold it up high in full grace

Ensuring it never comes off
